October 24-26, 2018	The 62nd JSASS Space Sciences and Technology Conference was held in Kurume, Japan. Kawarabayashi had the presentation about his research "Structural Characteristics of Three Dimensional Truss Consisting of Self-Extensible Booms". Kikuchi had the presentation about his research "Research and Development of Autonomous Operation System of Earthquake Precurser Satellite Prelude". Fukunaga had the presentation about her research "Anti-detachment Condition of Self-Exntesion Motion Wrapped Around Cylindrical Hub". Shitara had the presentation about his research "Shape of Starshade Consisting of Self-Deployable Membrane Truss". And Yamada had the presentation about his research "Preparation Status for Launch of Amateur Communication Technology Demonstration Satellite NEXUS". Shitara received the JSASS Most Excellent Presentation Awards for Students (chosen from 96 applicants).

Miyazaki presented the paper "Development Status of Rado Amateur Satellite NEXUS". Fukunaga received the JSASS Excellent Presentation Awards for Students.

July 12, 2017	We started the construction of new ground station including the antenna tower for our new CubeSat "NEXUS".

Mr. Tamura (M2) anf Mr. Tatematsu had the presentation on their research "Report on Microgravity Experiments of Self-Deployable Truss Structure Consisting of BCON Booms" and "Similarity Rules for Spin Deployment Membrane", respectively. Mr. Tamura won the paper award.
